Man Pulled On Car Door Handles Before Gun Handoff, Deadly Chase Through DC: Feds
It started with someone pulling on car door handles at 4:15 in the morning. It ended with a 23-year-old dead, and two men facing murder charges nearly two months later.
District residents Henry Buchanan, 48, and Charles Jenkins, 46, were arrested in connection with the Aug. 4 shooting death of Xavier Fogle in Northwest DC, federal authorities announced on Friday, Oct. 2.
According to court documents, surveillance cameras captured Fogle pulling on door handles in the 1400 block of Clifton Street NW, including one belonging to Buchanan.

Fashion CEO, Wife Found Shot Dead Outside California Residence
A fashion company CEO and his wife were found shot dead outside their California home, according to multiple reports.
Neighbors identified the couple as Bryan and Michelle Walker, who built the women’s clothing brand, Bryn Walker.
They were found outside their home on Panoramic Way in Oakland, California, on Friday, Oct. 2, The Berkeley Scanner reported.
Police had not publicly released their names when the Scanner published its report. Michelle was 63. Reports differed on Bryan’s age.

Police Seek Missing Footage After Lamar Garvin Dies In Two-Vehicle Maryland Crash (Updated)
A Maryland driver has died after a two-vehicle crash that remains under investigation, police announced.
rLamar Garvin, 61, of Suitland, was identified on Thursday, Oct. 1, as the driver killed in the Temple Hills collision, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.
Officers were called to the 4400 block of Branch Avenue at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, where two vehicles had crashed.
Garvin was rushed to an area hospital, where he died a short time later.
The other driver involved in the crash was not injured, police said.

A late-night breakdown turned deadly for a Maryland woman and her dog when they tried crossing an interstate together after her vehicle ran out of gas.
Madison Cecille Davis, 31, of Westminster, was killed shortly after 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, after stopping on the left shoulder of southbound I-795 near Mt. Wilson Lane in Baltimore County, according to Maryland State Police.
Investigators say Davis' vehicle had run out of gas, prompting her to pull onto the shoulder and get out with her dog.
