SWAT Responds To Mental Health Crisis In Dumont, Chief Says A SWAT response in Dumont Friday morning, Oct. 2, involved a person experiencing a mental health crisis, authorities said. Members of the Bergen County Regional SWAT Team responded to a residence on First Street, Dumont Police Chief Luke Totten told Daily Voice. The individual left the home before SWAT members entered the home, Totten said. The person was transported for an evaluation, according to the chief.
