A Long Island woman took more than $50,000 in food stamps while purchasing three luxury cars for her family, authorities said Tuesday, July 28.
Tesean King, 31, was charged with grand larceny, welfare fraud, and offering false instruments, the Nassau County District Attorney’s office said.
King, of Westbury, purchased three BMWs for herself, her husband, and their two kids following a 2022 civil settlement, prosecutors said.

A suspect has been captured in a Father’s Day shooting on Long Island that ended with one victim hospitalized, police said.
Jose Quezada, 30, of Brentwood, was nabbed in Manhattan around 6:40 a.m. Tuesday, July 28 by U.S. Marshals, the Suffolk County Police Department said.
Quezada got into an argument with a 35-year-old man during a home BBQ around 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 21 in Brentwood, police said. Quezada pulled a gun, shot the other man in the neck, then fled the scene on foot, investigators said.
